Description:

Gilmaelas terrazas is a waterproof and elastic "acrylic rubber" wich is made up of acrylic copolimeros wich has a watery diffusion and they form an asphalted material so that it protects the horizontal surfaces of the terraces, main decks, flat roofs and vertical faces that are required to be isolated from rain water leaks.

Properties:

Good leveling - off, auto washable, very elastic, great adherence that provides to the surfaces a limited movement step in terraces, decks and flat roofs.

Observations: For a good work guarantee we recommend putting fiberglass and applying one more layer of product. We recommend that the layers be applied crosswise and every 24 hours.

APPLICATIONS

Finished paint for the waterproofing of vertical and horizontal surfaces such as terraces, roofs and medians; in the latter case it is recommended to use reinforcing glass fiber.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • Brightness: Semi-matt
  • Color: White, Red or Gray
  • Performance: (1-1.8) m2 / l (according to support, by applied hand and dilution)

HOW TO USE

  • Application conditions: Always remove the contents of the container until it is completely homogenized.
  • Dilution: The first coat diluted 20-30% and the second and later as a pure finish or approximately 5%.
  • Application temperature: Between 5 ºC and 30 ºC on the surface.
  • Application tools: Brush, roller or gun (in the latter case, use a mask).
  • Drying time: At touch 30 min. dry from 4 to 6 hours according to room temperature and repainted 24 hours recommended.
  • Application type "sanwich": In the "sanwich" type application it is necessary to wait for the concrete to cure completely (minimum one month) before performing this operation. When incorporating the last layer of concrete it is necessary to allow the Gilmaelas terraces to set for 2 to 4 days according to room temperature
  • Cleaning of tools: With water, immediately after use and before they dry.

Surface Preparation

The surface must be clean and dry. On surfaces contaminated with molds, fungi and algae, carefully wash the affected area preferably with specific cleaners (diluted biocides) using mechanical means (brushes, sponges, etc). Then wait 6 to 8 hours, wash the area thoroughly with water and once dry apply the paint. Old areas with poorly adhering layers of paint and efflorescence should be removed by brushing and deep scraping.

If the surface is very absorbent, apply a primer coat FIXING PRIMER (primer to water or solvent). If the surface is previously painted and is in good condition, apply the product directly

It is recommended to give 3 to 4 crossed hands leaving enough thickness of GILMAELAS ACRILIC RUBBER TERRACE to obtain a perfect finish.
