Surface treatment
The surfaces, in general, must be dry, firm, clean and free of grease, dust and rust. Eliminate the elements that present bad adhesion.
- New surfaces: Proceed to remove the surface layer of cement (grout). To ensure a good adhesion, this layer must be removed with steel brush, acid cleaning or, in some cases, by milling or blasting the surface, proceed in the same way in case of polished concrete to open the pore. Then proceed to the direct application of the product in one or two coats depending on the required thickness
- Old surfaces: In case of badly adhered paints, eliminate by milling or blasting and proceed as a new surface. In the case of well-adhered epoxy systems, thoroughly clean the stains of grease, oil and dirt, tint the surface by sanding and proceed with the application of two coats.
- Application: The two components will be mixed preferably with a mechanical stirrer. The useful time for the mixture decreases the greater the amount mixed and the higher the ambient temperature. The application is made by spreading over the entire surface and preventing air from remaining occluded, which could later form pores.
